Crime, Drugs & Illegal Immigration
Under Sheriff Miller's watch, crime, drugs, and illegal immigration multiplied to an all-time high in our county. We are now fourth in the state for drug-related deaths. The jail and prison system was intended to be:
- Punitive, (Punish those who did wrong)
- Protective (Protect them while in our custody) and
- Restorative (Restore them to their families and society)
The men, women, and youth in custody should be under protective care while incarcerated. Currently in Buncombe County jails people are dying in record numbers due to negligence and poor leadership. As Sheriff, I will add the human element to the jail system and protect those in my care.
Civil Rights & Parent Rights
When we watch the news, we witness so much injustice in our society, from civil rights violations to parental rights. A few bad apples in Law Enforcement expose all the good officers to abuse and murder. As Sheriff, I will bring accountability and expose the corruption in various sectors, some leading all the way up to the office of Governor Cooper. Parental rights are often trampled in our court system, we need to hold these leaders accountable and let our voices be heard at the voting booth. As Sheriff, I will leverage my influence to bring accountability in our county and state.
Financial Accountability
I will attract and bring millions of dollars into our county to fight crime and to support our officers. I will not accept funds from special interest groups to subvert our core values.
Illegal Immigration In our County
Under our current Administration in the White House, Illegal immigration has surged at our open and unprotected borders. The drug Cartel, MS 13, and many other gangs are being transported by our government to NC and other cities across America. These gangs are killing Americans, invading our homes, and trafficking our daughters and sons to fund their global criminal enterprise. Sheriff Miller rejected ICE from doing their job here in Buncombe County. He chose to protect and give sanctuary to these criminals while exposing our children and families. Now you know why crime is up in our county and nation. As your Sheriff, I will protect and defend our children and families. I will weed out the bad, and seed in the good.
